The COVID-19 outbreak is affecting every part of society, and that includes us here at The Other. Make a donation to support our employees and help keep independent music culture alive in Cape Town!

Most of our services are in entertainment and the arts, two sectors in a spiralling freefall at the moment. The global pandemic and South Africa's current extended lockdown has rendered us unable to do the majority of our work with worrying outlooks for the near future. While we are proud to have used this time to setup our online store for The Other Records and launch our website, we will not be able to ship any products until we have more clarity from our government.

The Other has always stood for a deep appreciation of music in the local scene. Through consistent and thoughtful initiatives, including festivals, parties, performance pieces, online radio, DJing and presenting, we've always worked hard at identifying and working with a proud sense of otherness. With most of our revenue streams broken down, please consider donating to keep us afloat, if you can. We have employees and services we cannot uphold on our own with the current circumstances.
